What’s more, this enables adventurous families to undertake their own family break tour! We’ll provide the accommodation and inspiration - all you have to do is get there and enjoy your time with the family!
First stop: Our Durham Hotel
Durham sits in the northeast of England, just south of Newcastle and is a beautiful, historic city.
While there, you can take a trip to Durham Castle - a stunning building that was built in 1072 and still stands today as a university hall. The 50-minute tour is perfect fo all ages and will take you back to the 17th century heritage of the site.
If the kids want something a little more adventurous, check out Diggerland, where they can operate real diggers and dumpers, and experience the many rides on offer.
Next stop: Our Kendal Hotel
Kendal is a jewel of the Lake District and situated around 8 miles from Windermere.
Beyond the stunning scenery on offer, adventurous families will love the Lakeland Maze farm park, complete with quiz trials and gigantic maize mazes. The really adventurous will find all manner of fun to be had at the Lakeland climbing centre.
Of course, if you’d rather create your own day’s activities, there are plenty of walking routes and the kids will enjoy a mooch around the town as much as the adults.
Next stop: Our Chester Hotel
Chester is known as the ‘walled garden’ of England, thanks to one of the best preserved surrounding walls in the country.
There’s tonnes of medieval buildings to explore, and lots of attractions, too. Chester Zoo is the obvious choice for families, where all manner of wildlife can be encountered, but there’s nothing quite like the city sightseeing bus tour, either.
Taking in around 17 stops, it’ll help you experience the best Chester has to offer and gain a brilliant insight into its fascinating history.
Next stop: Our Cannock Hotel
If you’re fitting this particular family break tour into one holiday, you’ll already have done a fair amount of travelling, which is why encountering the Days Inn at Cannock on the M6 Toll will be particularly satisfying.
Park up, grab a room, and put your feet up - you deserve it.
Final stop: Our Taunton Hotel
Our final stop is Taunton, which is one of the largest towns in Somerset, and has some fascinating sights and pieces of history to explore.
If you fancy some live entertainment, the Brewhouse is the ideal place to satisfy all tastes. You’ll find live music, live cinema and the odd comedy gig thrown in for good measure.
If you’d like to discover some of Taunton’s history, you could do a lot worse than visit the Museum of Somerset, which will take yourself and the kids back over 400 million years of history.
That’s it! This is a mini UK tour that will live long in the memory. Just remember to book your accommodation with Days Inn as you travel!
