If you’re staying in our Days Inn Chester this autumn, there are a lot of landmarks to view and activities going on in the area in the build up to Christmas. A town full of history with historical monuments and features such as the Chester city walls, a structure that encompasses almost a complete circuit of the city of Chester which is one of the biggest Roman walls in the country, this alongside the many other Roman structures in the area.
If you’re in the area for October, there are a few good events that are both family friendly, or intended for adults such as the Chester Real Ale Festival, offering 50 ales perries and ciders happening on 25th October.
For children BUGS is exhibiting at Chester Zoo, which is a collection of robotic giant insects used to inform, educate and excite children into the wonders and science of some the most well-known creatures. The show has been exhibited from July through to the beginning of November.
The 2013 Chester Arts Fair is on from the 15th through to the 17th of November, with an anticipated 5,000 visitor footfall which demonstrates the popularity and quality of art exhibited with a mix of local, national and international artists, with a wide collection of contemporary art.
The Chester Christmas Market is a big collaboration of local food and drink producers, great for stocking up for your Christmas celebrations and making sure your family are well fed this year. Alongside these culinary delights, there are also stalls from local traders with crafts and great ideas from Christmas presents.
