Top Five Attractions in Chester Voted by Days Inn

June has seen thousands of people stop off in the historic city of Chester to take part in Jubilee celebrations and MBNA Chestival events. MBNA Chestival runs from the 2nd June – 15th July and is expected to pump more than £10million into the city’s economy this year. Days Inn Chester has had an influx of guests in the past couple of weeks who have come to take part in the celebrations and take advantage of Chester’s top visitor attractions whilst they are here.

We have been asking our guests their favourite places to visit whilst staying in Chester and have devised a list of the top 5 visitor attractions in Chester:

Chester Zoo

Always popular with guests at Days Inn, Chester Zoo remains the most visited attraction. The award winning zoo attracts millions of visitors every year and after a visit from Her Majesty The Queen, who unveiled the new Diamond Jubilee Quarter, it’s certain to gain more world recognition.

Chester Racecourse

The start of the race season always sees a significant demand in summer bookings at Days Inn Chester and this year has been no different. The Racecourse is one of the oldest still in use in England and is host to some exciting events throughout the year.

Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet

The nearby Cheshire Oaks Shopping Village is a firm favourite with shoppers to Chester. Offering huge savings off designer brands, the village is the largest of its type in the UK. There’s also a great mix of restaurants and cafes.

Chester Walls

After a £3 million revamp, the Chester City Walls proves to be another hot spot with visitors. The internationally famous walls form a 3km walk around the entire city and it is the only complete Roman Wall circuit in the UK. The restoration expects to attract millions of tourists.

Delamere Forest

Home to the popular tree top adventure, Go Ape, Delamere Forest is another must whilst staying in Chester. Being the largest woodland area in the county, our customers said it is a great place to escape and relax. The forest also plays host to a number of music concerts. In a couple of weeks, Will Young, Plan B and the Wombats will be taking the stage. All of these top attractions are within a 15 minute drive of our Chester Days Inn.
