A Few Christmas Markets Worth Attending in 2014

We’ve provided posts in previous years in the build up to Christmas, letting you know areas that are holding Christmas markets conveniently located near our Days Inn branches throughout the country.  There are Winter Wonderlands and Christmas stalls popping up throughout the country, we’ve sampled a few below.

Christmas Market at Leeds Castle

Located within easy reach to our Maidstone hotel, the Leeds Castle Christmas Market is returning for a second year. Starting the 6th December through to the 23rd. The market has a number of products offering Christmas gifts and local Christmas and festive fayre.

Cheltenham Christmas Market

Cheltenham’s beautiful Promenade has once again been transformed into a winter wonderland with over 40 wooden chalets selling everything from jewellery and candles to arts and crafts. Running between the 4th of December through to the 20th, this market provides a fantastic range of festive items, including food and gifts.

Durham City Christmas Festival

Durham is set to host their 21st annual Christmas Festival for three days between Friday 5th December through to Sunday 7th. Featuring over 190 stalls with including a heated marquee and a wide range of suppliers including local food producers, gifts and crafts.

Bath Christmas Market

Offering 18 days of festive shopping at its Christmas winter wonderland. Mixing in festive shopping with a variety of Christmassy fun including ice-skating, a ski bar offering mulled wine. With many stallholders from around the Bath area and many UK hand made gifts, makes it an ideal place to get top quality, local produce in the build up to Christmas. 

Staffordshire Winter Wonderland

A great day out with all the family, the Staffordshire Winter Wonderland provides a festive destination featuring Christmas light switch on, fireworks display, festive choirs and bands as well as a Christmas craft and gift market, Santa’s Grotto and ice rink. The event starts the 16th November and runs through to 6th January.
