Catanger Llamas

If you're after a unique afternoon out, you'd certainly be hard pressed to find anything as random as Llama trekking. Established in 1995, the Catanger Llamas have been a popular attraction for visitors to the Northamptonshire countryside, offering their company as you wander across pastures, woodland and cutting through the beautiful surroundings of the Shire. Suitable for physically fit participants from the age of 8 upwards, the trek covers around 3.5-4 miles and takes place in most weather conditions.

78 Derngate

If architecture and history is your thing, you should definitely take a tour of 78 Derngate, the final commission of the late Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Stop for afternoon tea, fabulous food and stylish shopping or gaze upon the art exhibitions. There are also spaces for business meetings, corporate events and functions, giving the property a truly multi-functional purpose. Admission is £7.25 and is open 10am-5pm Tuesday-Sunday.

Silverstone Race Course

Home of the British Grand Prix, Northamptonshire boasts the famous Silverstone motor racing circuit which has hosted the event (on and off) since 1948. Built on a former WWII Royal Air Force bomber station, the track is over 2 miles long andhas boasted many famous names amongst it's drivers including Nigel Mansell and Ayrton Senna.
