Attractions and Activities in Tewkesbury

Tewkesbury Abbey

A splendid example of early construction with beautiful stone walls and pillars and an imacculately decorated ceiling. A bright and vibrant place given their huge coloured windows and elaborate design. Meander through the memorials, tombs and interesting facts that tell the story of the abbey through the ages. There is a gift shop on site with proceeds going towards the upkeep of this glorious building.

John Moor Museum

This venue offers a quirky and fascinating look at two specific areas. The first, a series of exhibits about the natural world and wildlife in the area by local John Moore. The second, a 15th century merchant's house complete with audio guide. If you have an hour or so to fill, why not head over and catch a glimpse of the past?!

The Roses

The only exhibition centre in Tewkesbury offers a vibrant mixture of live shows, films, festivals and exhibitions ranging from choir workshops, puppet shows and art displays to the latest Star Wars movie and Elvis tribute acts.

Tewkesbury Museum

Another one of the many historical exhibitions in the region showcasing a mixture of the trading development in Tewkesbury, right upto the events surrounding WW1. The photos from the past are a popular feature with an activity booklet to work through as you make your way around.

The Battle Trail

Given Tewkesbury's rich history, it would a shame not to learn more about the battle of Tewkesbury by taking the battle trail walk. Discover the story of Richard Duke of Gloucester and Edmund Duke of Somerst as you make your own way along the waymarked route.

Croft Farm Waterpark

The camping and caravan leisure site offers holidays and days out for fans of watersports, set around it's own lake which is suitable for windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. The spacious area features many on-site facilities including hot and cold meals in their log cabin, a bar and qualified instructors who can be booked for lessons and refresher courses.
