The Scottish town of Hamilton lies within the southern part of the county Lanarkshire and families staying in Hamilton hotels can enjoy a fun packed weekend. The town is the fifth biggest in Scotland and was once known as Cadzow, meaning ‘beautiful castle’. The name was eventually changed as a way of honouring the Hamilton family, who had contributed greatly towards to the town.
